Sharing the Joy of Design for Optimal Solutions

"Ligaya" is Tagalog or Filipino for happiness or joy. Since my childhood, I have enjoyed art and sharing this with others. First this was through drawings, pastels, and then paintings. Eventually my path lead me to architecture school with an emphasis on modern design. I chose the name "ligaya" to reflect a joy of design which I wish to share with others. Thus our goal is to share this joy and appreciation in architecture and interiors while aiming for optimal solutions.

I am a member of the DC Metropolitan Chapter of Construction Specifications Institute (CSI-DC). Today CSI works closely with sustainability (code, products, and practices) and BIM (Building Information Management) technology.  Additionally, I plan to share more design insights in the areas of color and lighting. I hope to write about these insights and lessons learned, while sharing a joy of design.

Thanks for visiting Ligaya Design.
