CDT Review - Chapter 13, Construction

Chapter 13 of CSI Project Delivery Practice Guide (PDPG) continues with an overview of Construction, which are on the Construction Documents Technologists (CDT) Exam. This is a general summary of key terms and concepts. A more detailed resource is the CSI Construction Contract Administration Practice Guide, which is also a reference for another CSI certification exam, Certified Construction Contact Administration (CCCA).

There are two main categories:

  • Construction Contract Administration (CCA)
  • Construction Project Management (CPM)

Construction as Team Activity
Responsibility for oversight is with the architect/engineer (A/E After providing design services, the A/E usually continues to represent the owner during the construction stage.
